SOCIAL CONCERNS
The Social Concerns Commission will be serving lunch at the West Side Catholic Center on Tuesday, May 20, 2008. The needy that we serve truly appreciate homemade desserts. Please consider baking a batch or two of cookies or brownies to share with them. You can drop off your bakery at the rectory on Monday, May 19th. Thank you.

ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION
The St. Anthony Athletic Association will hold the annual medical examination for the '08-09 school year on Saturday, May 17, 2008 from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. in the school gymnasium. The fee is $15 per student, and checks for physicals should be made payable to Mobile Medical Service. Parent or guardian must be present at the physical examination. All students in grades 4 through 8 ('08-'09) who intend to play any CYP sport next school year should utilize this exam. In order to participate in CYO sports, including practices, a yearly physical is mandatory and students must attend the day school or PSR. High school students are also encouraged to use this service, provided they bring the proper form from their school. At the same time as the medical exams, registration will be held for football, cheerleading, and volleyball. Football is open to grades 4-8, and the cost is $80 per student. In addition, a maintenance fee of $75 will be collected from each family. These funds will be deposited in the Athletic Association account, and the maintenance fee will be refunded after a member of the family assists in setting up or taking down for the annual Night at the Races fundraiser. Cheerleading for football games is open to grades 4-8. Registration fee is $40. In addition to cheering at games, cheerleaders in grades 5-8 will have the option of cheering in a competition squad. All cheerleaders will be required to attend a cheerleading camp in June, dates to be announced. The camp will be run by high school cheerleaders, and the cost is $20. The fee for the summer camp will not have to be paid at registration. Volleyball is open to grades 4-8, and the registration fee is $55. There is also a concession stand fee of $75, which is refunded when a member of the family works a shift at the concession stand.
